The great thing about using vinegar for cleaning is that it is so cheap. Not only is vinegar a cheap cleaning ingredient, but it also is very effective.

You can make your own DIY cleaner with vinegar and clean almost everything in your house. I have been using vinegar for how long I forgot.

Starting from my kitchen to my bathroom, I use vinegar to clean almost every part of my house. I will be sharing with you some of my vinegar cleaning hacks to make your life a bit easier.

1. Say goodbye to rust from old tools

I am sure you have lost of tools like a chisel, hammer, drill, etc. that have become old and rusty. Take a large bowl or container and fill it with vinegar.

Now place your rusty hammer in it for 10-12 hours. Scrape off the rust in the morning easily.

2. Make your own DIY all-purpose cleaner with vinegar

To make this, you will need half a cup of vinegar, 3 tablespoons of baking soda, and a few drops of tea tree or lemon essential oil.

Mix all of them and pour in a spray bottle. Shake well before you use it.

3. Run vinegar in your dishwasher

Place a small dishwasher safe bowl in the top rack of your dishwasher. Now, add some liquid dish soap and run the washer normally.

Your dishes will start to sparkle more than ever.

4. Remove algae from your patio

As your patio is exposed to sun and rain continuously, algae might develop over time. Spray a good amount of distilled white vinegar and clean the area thoroughly.

5. Clean your bathtub and shower area

It is quite normal to get hard water stains and soap scum in your bathtub and shower area. Make a mixture using baking soda and vinegar.

Wait for a few minutes and wipe the areas thoroughly.

If you do not want to use those commercial toilet bowl cleaners, you can use baking soda, white vinegar, and castile soap.

Get a small bowl and pour two tablespoons of white vinegar, half a cup of water, and a few drops of lemon juice.

Place it inside your oven and rub it for 3-4 minutes. Wait for another 5 minutes and then, take a microfiber cloth and clean the inside of your microwave thorougshly.

9. Time to make the faucets look shiny again

Take a small amount of white vinegar and spray it on a paper towel. Wrap the paper towel in the faucet and wait for 3 minutes.

Wipe the faucet with a clean paper towel.

10. Don’t forget about that shower head

You can also clean your showerhead. Take a plastic bag and fill it halfway with white vinegar. Now wrap the bag with a rubber band and leave it overnight.

In the morning, rinse with normal water.

11. Get rid of sticky residue from the glass jars

Nothing can be more annoying than seeing those sticker residues in the glass jars. Spray a small amount of white vinegar in the area and wait for a few seconds.

Now clean the area with a small piece of cloth.

If your water bottle smells, you can use vinegar to clean them. Pour half a cup of vinegar in the bottle. Shake it well and wait for 15 minutes.

Rinse the bottle, and the smell should be gone.

You can make your own disinfectant with vinegar to clean the tile floors. Take around half a cup of white vinegar and mix it in a gallon of water.

You can also unclog a drain using baking soda and vinegar. Take half a cup of baking soda and dump it in the clogged drain. Then add a cup of vinegar.

After you see that the foam has stopped, rub water, and your drain will be unclogged for good.

Sounds impossible, right? It is not impossible, actually. Pour a good amount of vinegar in a slice of bread. Let the bread soak the vinegar,

Place it in your trash can and leave it overnight. The next day, remove the bread, and there will be no smell.

Make a mixture of hot water and vinegar. Spray the solution in your fridge after you emptied the fridge.

Now, take a clean cloth and scrub the dirt off from the fridge.

23. Get rid of mold from garage walls

It is quite obvious for mold growth in your garage. Take 2 tablespoons of borax and mix it with 2 tablespoons of vinegar and 2 cups of water.

Pour the solution you just made in a spray bottle and apply directly to the mold. Scrub the area and let it dry.

If you are tired of buying those expensive fabric softeners, it is time to make your own. Use a small amount of vinegar as a fabric softener and see how it works.

25. Clean your car windows

Clean the outside of your car windows with vinegar and water, make a mixture of 6 tablespoons of white vinegar, and around 3 tablespoons of water.

Now spray the mixture in the windows directly. Clean thoroughly with a microfiber cloth.
