Easy Ways to Organize Your Baking Supplies

If you are the kind of person who loves baking, you came to the right place. I love baking and that is why I decided to make my own baking space in the kitchen.

Even if you have a small kitchen, you can use a small space to keep all of your baking supplies. It can be annoying to reach for flour, baking soda in the pantry every time you decide to bake.

That is why I decided to bring some change in my kitchen. My kids love eating pancakes and cupcakes. I make pancakes every now and then.

I keep all the necessary ingredients and supplies in the baking station so that it doesn’t take too much time.

I will share a few ways to organize your baking supplies and ingredients. You will love how convenient it will be at the end of the day.

Easy Ways to Organize Your Baking Supplies

Categorize the cookie cutters

If you love to collect cookie cutters, then you must have a lot of them. I have seen a lot of people keep their cookie cutters in a large container.

So when the time comes, you might not find the right one easily as there are too many. That is why I categorize cookie cutters based on animals, holidays, numbers, etc.

You can categorize based on your choice. Storing them like this will save you a lot of time. You can find the right cookie cutters at Christmas to make yummy cookies.

Store the cookie cutters separately in plastic containers

Make sure to store the cookie cutters in plastic containers. That is how you will be able to see them from outside and find the right ones right away.

I use 3 plastic containers with the lid to store the cookie cutters. I keep these boxes in my baking station. If there is not enough space, you can simply put the boxes in the pantry.

Use mason jars to store the cupcake liners

I am sure you have already heard about this hack. A mason jar can be perfect to store the cupcake liners.

Take all of your different colored cupcake liners and place them in the mason jar. If you have a lot of cupcake liner, then you can two mason jars.

Decorate the jars with some ribbons and beads so that it looks great on the baking station.

Store the food colorings in a lipstick organizer

You can purchase a lipstick organizer from amazon or your nearby superstore. Use the lipstick organizer to organize the food colorings.

It is one of the most effective storage ideas that I have come across. You can see all the colors from the outside as the storage is transparent.

You can fill the top row with darker colors and the bottom row with lighter colors. That is how it will look more organized.

Keep one cabinet to store the baking dishes

You can use a separate cabinet to store your baking dishes. As they are different from your regular dishes, don’t mix them up. Keep the cabinet right beside your oven for all the baking dishes.

That is how you will find them whenever you need them.

Use a rolling cart as a baking station

You can make your own baking station as well. Get a rolling cart and place all of your baking tools and supplies in it.

A baking station can be easily made. Place the mixer on the top floor. Keep the baking sheets in a wicker basket.

Place the mason jar with cupcake liners on the 2nd floor as well. Then you need to store the measuring spoons as well. If you have a large kitchen, you can keep the rolling cart in one corner of your kitchen.

Keep the necessary baking ingredients in mason jars

I have 4 different mason jars where I store flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, etc. I have separate containers of each for my cooking as well.

Keeping them in the baking station makes sure that you find every ingredient right away if you want to bake. It’s all about convenience after all.

Don’t forget to label the jars

After storing the supplies in the containers make sure to label them. Without labeling them, your baking station might not look as organized as you expect.

You can add other jars with almonds, peanuts, etc. and label them as well. Use a simple label maker or make labels on your own.

Organize the baking sheets and pans in a file organizer

It can be a tough job to store and organize the baking sheets and pans. If you are planning to keep them in a cabinet, that might not be a good idea.

Because of the size and structure of the pans and sheets, they will take a lot of space in your cabinet. As a result, you won’t be able to use the space efficiently.

That is why I use a file folder to keep the baking trays, sheets, and pans. If you don’t have a file folder, you can use magazine holders as well.

Use Lazy Susan if you want everything in the right place

You can use a turntable from Lazy Susan. Use the turntable to store the baking supplies like food colorings, cupcake liners, cookie cutters, etc.

The best thing about the Lazy Susan is that you can turn them around and find anything within seconds. It is really convenient to use.

Use a command hook to organize the cords

The mixer you use for your baking process; it must have a long cord. Organize the cord using a command hook.

Attach the hook behind the mixer and roll the cord place it inside the command hook. That is how your baking station will look more neat and organized.

After all, no place looks good with cords lying around.

Organize the measuring spoons in the wall of your cabinet door

Attach some hooks in the cabinet door and organize all of your measuring spoons there. The best idea is to write down the measurement of each spoon above them.

As a result, you will be able to see every spoon and find them right away. I love this idea and I got it from searching on Instagram.

A lot of people use this technique; you should give it a try as well.

I have used these baking organization hacks to organize my baking station. If you still haven’t tried out any of these, it is time to try some.

One thing that I can assure is that your baking time will be a lot less than before. Because it usually takes us a lot of time to find the right supplies before we go for baking.

If you have everything in front of your eyes, you can do the baking and cooking part in an hour. Let me know if you have applied this idea in your kitchen.
